Christmas Tree Raising at the Biltmore - Asheville, NC
Each year the 35 foot Biltmore Christmas tree arrives by horse-drawn carriage and is raised into place in the banquet hall via a series of pulleys and ropes. Then the decorating begins!
The Biltmore Estate, constructed by George Vanderbilt in 1895 is one of the grandest homes in the US. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, it's a popular destination for holiday visitors. The estate is located in Asheville, North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
